Plumbers for Eagle's larger homes and mixed water sources

Eagle's housing skews newer and larger, with multi-bathroom homes, long hot-water runs and a mix of city water and private wells. The plumbing questions here are less about failing pipe and more about capacity, efficiency and water quality.

Hot water for big houses

A four- or five-bathroom home with a soaking tub and a long run to the primary suite is where tank water heaters start to disappoint. Many of our Eagle calls are about hot water that takes a minute to arrive or runs out during the morning rush. Depending on the house, the answer is a tankless unit sized for winter groundwater temperatures, a second heater closer to the far bathrooms, or a recirculation loop that keeps hot water at the tap. We talk through all three and quote the one that fits.

City water and wells

Homes in and near downtown Eagle are on municipal water; many properties toward the foothills, Floating Feather and the river bottoms draw from private wells. Well water in the area ranges from moderately hard to very hard and sometimes carries iron or sediment. We test before recommending treatment, and we size softeners and filtration to what comes out of your tap, not to a brochure.

Irrigation and freeze protection

Many Eagle lots have pressurized irrigation systems tied in near the main. Backflow devices, irrigation shutoffs and the hose bibs on larger homes are common winter freeze casualties when a cold snap arrives before the system is blown out. We repair split hose bibs and frozen lines, and we can install frost-free bibs and insulate vulnerable runs in crawl spaces before the next winter.

Permits in Eagle

The City of Eagle issues plumbing permits for addresses inside city limits; some foothills and river properties are under Ada County. Water heater replacements, tankless installs, gas piping and repipes all require a permit and inspection. We handle the paperwork and include the fee in your quote.

Reviews from Eagle customers

Two other companies quoted a tankless without looking at our gas line. Clearwater measured it, upsized the run, added a scale filter and the unit has been flawless for three winters. They clearly knew what they were doing.

— Steve H., Eagle · Tankless Water Heaters

A hose bib split during the January cold snap and flooded the crawl space. A real plumber answered at 11pm, talked me through shutting off the main, and was at the house by 7am to fix it and check the rest of the lines.

Hear a drip, smell sewage, or just out of hot water?

A licensed plumber will tell you what's wrong, what it costs to fix and what can safely wait. Upfront pricing before any work starts.
