The North End and East End

The oldest neighborhoods in the city, and the ones that keep us busiest. Homes here commonly have original galvanized supply lines, cast-iron drain stacks and clay sewer laterals running under mature trees to the street. Low pressure, rust-colored water and spring sewer backups are the standard calls. Repiping, sewer camera inspections and trenchless lining are the common answers, and we take care to work around the landscaping and historic details that make these homes what they are.

The Bench

The Boise Bench and Depot Bench filled in through the 1940s to 1960s, and many homes are slab-on-grade or have shallow crawl spaces. Slab leaks on copper lines, Orangeburg sewer pipe and aging water heaters in cramped utility closets come up often. Vista and the neighborhoods near our shop are where we can get a van to you fastest.

Southeast Boise, Harris Ranch and the foothills

Newer construction on the east side of town means PEX supply lines and PVC drains, with fewer pipe failures and more water-heater, softener and tankless work. Homes in the foothills and Barber Valley sometimes sit on pressure zones that call for a regulator, and larger homes benefit from tankless systems sized for the winter groundwater temperature.

Permits in Boise

Plumbing permits for Boise addresses are issued through the city’s building division, with the state licensing of plumbers handled by the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses. Water heater replacements, repipes, gas piping and sewer work all require a permit and inspection. We pull them as part of the job and include the fee in your quote.
