How it started
Nate Ellison grew up in Boise and started as a plumbing apprentice straight out of high school. The first decade of his career was spent largely in the older neighborhoods on both sides of the river, learning why a 1920s North End bungalow and a 1960s Bench rambler fail in different ways. By 2011 he had his master license, a used van and enough referrals to go out on his own.
The early years were almost entirely repair work: drain calls, water heaters that had scaled up and quit, galvanized lines that had rusted shut. That foundation shaped how the company still works. We diagnose before we quote, and we quote before we touch anything.
How it grew
As Meridian, Eagle, Nampa and Caldwell filled in with new subdivisions, Clearwater grew to meet them. Jess joined to run the office full time, Carlos came on in 2014 and now leads our installation crew, and the fleet grew to cover both counties. We added hydro-jetting, sewer camera and locating gear, trenchless repair options and a water-treatment line because our customers kept asking for them.
What stays the same
Nate still holds the master license the company operates under. Jess still answers the phone. Every technician is a Clearwater employee who has been trained on our standards, and every job still ends with a written warranty and a clean floor.
